I Have Autism - What Should I Expect From Puberty?

Reviewed by: D'Arcy Lyness, PhD

I have autism. I just started learning about puberty and I don't know what to expect. What should I do?

Puberty means your body is changing and becoming more mature. But all this change makes it hard to know what to expect. This happens to everyone! You'll learn as you go.

A good way to learn more is to read and ask. Read things written for people your age about puberty. Ask your parent or health care provider any questions you have about puberty or your body. If you feel awkward asking, you can write your questions down and give them to your parent or doctor.

As you ask and learn, you'l feel more confident about what to expect.
